Congratulations!
🎉 🎉
You've been accepted into the Software Engineering program! 🧑💻🧑💻
TLDR
We've created this guide to help you prepare for the journey ahead. If you're unable to go through everything in this guide, there are 3 key things that we need you to do:
1. Join the Pre ALX SE Discord Server
We have created a dedicated discord server for all success applicants of the ALX SE program. Click this link to join the Pre ALX SE server.
Very Important: This discord community has been established for you to meet up with other people who will be joining the program and also to help you prepare for the start of the program. You will, however, be given access to the main ALX SE community on Slack in due time.
All official community engagements among peers and mentors in the program will only take place on Slack. For that matter, make sure you are in the Slack community by the time you start the program. You will be sent emails to guide you on how to set up your account.
2. Follow the following accounts on Social Media
In order not to miss any important information and to get continuous motivation throughout your journey in the ALX SE program, we recommend you to follow these accounts on Twitter

3. Watch these videos
This video will introduce you to the kind of mindset you require to succeed in the ALX SE program.
A conversation with Max, OG Holberton School Alumni | ALX SE
In this video, Julien Barbier talks with Max, an alumni of Holberton School where he shares insights into how he was able to succeed and advise on how you can also succeed in the program.
We are thrilled to welcome you to our community. As you eagerly await the official start date and onboarding session, we want to ensure that you are well-prepared to hit the ground running. With this in mind, we have put together a comprehensive guide to help you get ready for the program.
This guide will equip you with the knowledge and resources you need to succeed, so that you can make the most of your time with us. 🚀
We can't wait to see you soon and start this exciting journey together! 🎓
Important Notice: Now that you have been accepted into the program, be on the lookout for follow up emails. Some of these emails will provide you with the relevant information concerning things you need to do in preparation for the start of the program (eg: Setting up your intranet account, joining slack, etc). Take every one of those emails seriously and do as may be required of you so that you are fully ready by the first day of onboarding.
You may want to check your spam/junk folders in case you don't find them in your inbox. You should expect these emails between the time you are accepted to the time you start the program.
